Is Hypnosis woo-woo staff or scientific?
Hypnosis had been a recognized medical modality since the 1950s. It's not woo-woo, it's not imaginary, it's accepted around the world.
Myths about HYPNOSIS:
Let me walk you through the big ones I hear all the time.
"I'll get stuck in trance." No one has been stuck in hypnosis in the history of mankind.
"You'll make me reveal secrets." Not true. People can lie in trance just as easily as any other time.
"I'll take my clothes off." You won't, unless you typically take your clothes off in groups of people.
"It's mind control." Nonsense. And the danger of that belief is that it creates fear and makes people think they can't be hypnotized. Remember, you're having a psychological conversation with another person.
"My mind is too strong." Actually, strong-minded people make the best subjects. The more intelligent person the easier to work with him/her and better results following up. All hypnosis has an aspect of self-hypnosis. Hypnotist only leads you in right direction.
How it feels when you experiences HYPNOSIS?
Mostly hypnotists describe it as a relaxed awareness.
Trance where you will likely will drift during the session is naturally occurring.
